The City of DeFuniak Springs Garbage Guidelines:

PLEASE UTILIZE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES FOR EFFICIENT COLLECTION:

The roll-out needs to be placed (3) foot from the edge of the street by 7:00 A.M. the day of collection.
The roll-out needs to be removed from the street to your side or rear yard by the end of the day of collection.
Any garbage in excess that will not fit into the roll-out needs to be placed in plastic bags and placed next to the roll-out or in a personal can. Personal cans containing loose garbage will not be collected.
The 90 gallon roll-out garbage cans will remain the property of the City and repaired or replaced as needed.
Any damage caused by the homeowner or business will be the responsibility of the homeowner or business.
Yard trash collection will be collected on the same day as your regular pickup. This is limited to (3) cubic yards per week. Please do NOT bag leaves or place yard trash in roll-out. Leaves can be piled within 3 feet of the edge of the street.
White goods will be picked up on your regular scheduled garbage day so long as it is homeowner generated.
White goods consist of the following: stoves, refrigerators, dryers, washers, and freezers.
Construction materials, batteries, tires, paint, etc. will NOT be collected.

The City does NOT provide dumpsters to personal residences.
