Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood Restoration: Secured grant of $497,113 from the Florida Division of Historical Resources to restore and rehabilitate the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood. Includes installation of an elevator. Work to begin by Fall, 2017.

DeFuniak Springs Historical District Resource Update: Secured grant of $48,740 by the Florida Division of Historical Resources to inventory all buildings in the DeFuniak Springs Historic District and update records in the Florida Master Site File for further preservation of the original campus of Florida's Historic Chautauqua now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Historic District Interpretive Panels and Kiosks: Application submitted for $50,000 grant to place information/interpretive panels throughout the original grounds of Florida's Historic Chautauqua to promote heritage tourism and self-guided tours throughout the grounds.

Land Development Update

Main Street DeFuniak Springs: Application underway for the City's historic downtown business district to be designated as a Florida Main Street Program. Once designated, the City will receive complimentary technical advice and support to bring economic vitality to the historic downtown business district.
