When you take a first aid class from the American Red Cross, you’ll gain the skills you need to help others during times of crisis. Designed to last just a few short hours, our first aid classes can help you recognize the signs that someone needs help and administer the right type of care. In addition to offering certification courses for the public and medical professionals alike, we also offer abbreviated recertification courses in first aid. This way, you can easily maintain your skills, and your credentials. To register for this class, proceed to the Sign up tab and select the class you wish to enroll in.
Emergency Medical Response is a dynamic 56-hour course featuring lecture, video, simulated emergency situations, discussion and hands-on skill practice based on the national EMS curriculum requirements and educational standards. While Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) does not provide state licensure or certification as an Emergency Medical Responder, this course is ideal for high school and college-aged students to receive training similar to the training EMS professionals receive as they look to enter careers in healthcare, public safety, or law enforcement. This training is also ideal for your on-campus security and/or emergency response teams! To register for this class, proceed to the Sign up tab and select the class you wish to enroll in.

Provide the care your patients need, when they need it. It’s what you do every day. But just as protocols for drug interventions change – so do methods for non-invasive treatments, like CPR. As part of our commitment to support safer communities, and support you in all that you do, we offer CPR for healthcare providers.
Through these courses we’re able to keep you up to date on the latest techniques, so you can maintain certifications and deliver the best possible care to your patients. Classes and information currently available to healthcare providers include:
- CPR (one- and two-rescuer)
- Primary Assessment
- Ventilations (including BVM)
- Choking (conscious and unconscious)
