[ARCHIVED] ODOR OF MARIJUANA LEADS TO METH LAB MATERIALS IN VEHICLE

A nervous neighbor’s report results in DeFuniak Springs Officers finding the ingredients for a meth lab early Thursday morning. Officers responded to N. 7th Street around 2 AM and found 34 year old Justin Colt Bray in the driver’s seat of a red Nissan truck. A strong smell of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle and Officers conducted a search. A black bag containing numerous ingredients to make methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle. Cold packs, Drano, a lithium battery, pseudoephedrine pills, tubing, and mason jars filled with solvents were some of the items were found in the bag. Bray was questioned about the items, but refused to speak with Officers. He was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bray was booked into the Walton County Jail.
