[ARCHIVED] MURDER SUSPECT APPREHENDED AT BURGER KING

DeFuniak Springs Police responded to 57 N. 10th Street just after 6 p.m. Monday in reference to a caller reporting a possible murder. Officers checked the residence and found a female deceased inside the home. Detectives determined that 36 year old Stephen Anthony Taylor was responsible for the death and immediately relayed information to surrounding agencies. At approximately 8 p.m., Taylor was arrested at Burger King in DeFuniak Springs without incident. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office and State Attorney’s Office for the 1st Judicial Circuit are assisting in the on-going investigation. Taylor was later transported to the Walton County Jail on charges of Burglary and First Degree Murder.
