A Walton County School District school bus was involved in a traffic crash around 1:30 p.m. today. 43 year old Christine Kline of DeFuniak Springs was driving a 2002 Dodge pickup truck south on S.R. 83 N when she failed to stop behind the school bus at the intersection of U.S. Highway 90 East. 57 year old Rhonda Merritt had stopped the school bus she was driving at the intersection and was waiting to turn right when the collision occurred. Merritt was enroute to pick up students, so no children were on the bus at the time of the crash. The school bus received little to no damage. The pickup truck suffered major front end damage when it went up under the rear of the bus. No injuries were reported.
