RFB - Clarifier Equipment Installation

Sealed Bids for construction of Clarifier Equipment Installation addressed to City of DeFuniak Springs, FL 71 US-90 West, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 will be received at the City Hall, City of DeFuniak Springs, State of Florida, (Owner), until 2:00 p.m., local time, on the 28th day of March.  Bids shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, “Sealed Bid – Clarifier Equipment Installation”. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened to the bidder.

Bids will then be publicly opened and read.

The Project contemplated consists of replacement of the clarifier equipment at the DeFuniak Springs WWTP.  The Owner has purchased the replacement equipment.  The project generally includes removal of existing equipment and grout, installation of new equipment and grout, and startup services. 

Bidding documents may be examined in Owner’s office, City of DeFuniak Springs, FL 71 US-90 West, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 or at Engineer’s office, JACOBS, 25 West Cedar Street, Suite 350, Pensacola, FL 32502.  Bidding documents may be obtained from the Engineer’s office. The bidding documents will be delivered via email in a PDF file. Addenda will also be delivered electronically via email. Bidder shall provide a valid email address to receive Bidding Documents. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and insurance prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

In order to perform public work, Bidders shall hold licenses as required by Florida State Statutes, and federal and local laws and regulations.

Bidders will be required to comply with Florida Trench Safety Act, FS 33‑553.60 through 33‑553.64, relating to the state’s trench safety standards.

In accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute 19‑287.133, Bidder who has been placed on the convicted vendor list may not submit a Bid on a Contract with a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with public entity, and may not transact business with public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017 for category two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.

In accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute 19‑287.134, Bidder who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a Bid on a Contract with a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with public entity, and may not transact business with public entity for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the discriminatory vendor list.
