City-Owned Buildings and Parks Now Closed

City Hall with word closed across the image

The City of DeFuniak Springs has closed City Hall, all city-owned buildings and city-owned parks to the public due to the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

“Keeping a safe distance from one another is critical at this time,” says City Manager Mell Smigielski, “and we want to make sure everyone takes the necessary precautions to stay safe according to guidelines from national, state and local health officials.  City services continue as normal, but we now require all citizens to pay bills online, through our payment dropbox, or over the phone.  Citizens may also communicate with city staff through email or phone calls.”

City officials and staff take the COVID-19 outbreak seriously.  Announcements to any change in city services or events will be provided through media releases, on the City’s website at and on the City of DeFuniak Springs Facebook page.  Citizens may also call DeFuniak Springs City Hall at (850) 892-8500 during normal business hours.
