The ceremony took place on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at the alley behind the Herald print operations building located at 25 8th Street, DeFuniak Springs.
The alley was chosen because of its proximity to the DeFuniak Herald editorial office on Baldwin Avenue and the print operations building. The alley was a common path from both buildings which Ben regularly traveled. Ben was the Herald’s Assistant Publisher and print operations director.
