The ceremony took place on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. at the church located at 416 Railroad Street, DeFuniak Springs.

A portion of Railroad Street nearest to the church will be renamed Anthony M. Johnson Trail in his honor. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University in 1977, and his master’s degree and juris doctorate degree from Marquette University in 1982.
