On October 7th, 8th, 2011 the DeFuniak Springs Police joined with their neighboring agencies in Bonifay, Florida to participate in the 67th Annual Northwest Florida Championship Rodeo Parade.
The DeFuniak Springs Police was invited last year by a member of the Kiwanis Club to participate in this event. The event is held annually and is the second year the DeFuniak Springs Police has participated. The Agency participated in the parade displaying the agency’s Mobile Command Unit.
Partnership with other agencies provides more resources to each community. These combined resources have proven successful when providing safety to our citizens.
Many schools, organizations and businesses from the surrounding counties and states also participate in this annual event. This is an enormous opportunity to visit with some and to reach out to many.
