[ARCHIVED] DEFUNIAK SPRINGS POLICE CONTINUES THE “ZERO TOLERANCE ON DRUGS”

On February 15th, 2012 after an extensive narcotic surveillance investigation, Charles Alford Lewis and Kaylee Wederski Schipper, both from the DeFuniak Springs area, were arrested by DeFuniak Springs Police on drug charges.

During the surveillance officers performed an investigative stop on a red Chevy Monte Carlo occupied by Lewis and Schipper. Walton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit also assisted in the stop.

The investigation during the traffic stop resulted in Lewis’s and Schipper’s arrest for Possession of Listed Chemicals used to Manufacture Methamphetamine. Both suspects were transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections.

During a body search performed by members of Walton County Department of Corrections, 144 pseudoephedrine pills were found in a body cavity of Schipper. The additional charges were added by the Walton County Department of Corrections for Introduction of Contraband into a Correction Facility, and Destruction of evidence.
