On November 5th, 2010 members of the DeFuniak Springs Police had an eventful day that carried on into the night.
The day started out with Officers escorting the Pee-Wee football players and cheerleaders from the Community Center over to Baldwin Avenue to line up for the Walton County High School Homecoming Parade. This event is a yearly event that DeFuniak Springs Police is honored to be part of.
The Homecoming Parade began on Baldwin Avenue at the intersection of South 11th Street and proceeded its way around the beautiful Lake DeFuniak and ending at the Walton Middle School.
The Homecoming celebration didn’t end until the final second was played that night at the Walton County High School Stadium with the Braves defeating the Seahawks.
Chief Mark A. Weeks would like to thank the faculty and staff of Walton County High School along with all participants that came out on this windy and cool night to support our young people”.
