On July 30th, 2012 at approximately 9:20 a.m. members from the DeFuniak Springs Police responded to the area of Live Oak Avenue and 11th Street in reference to a “Hit and Run Crash”.
Witnesses reported that a Green Toyota Camry, operated by an older white female turned from Live Oak Avenue on to 11th, Street and traveled south. During this course of travel the Camry struck a motorized scooter causing it to overturn. The driver of the Camry failed to stop.
After receiving tips and following up on leads, members from the DeFuniak Springs Police were able to locate the suspected vehicle. Shortly after finding the vehicle officers were able to identify the driver as Catherine Campbell Reesee 68 years of age of the DeFuniak Springs area. Reesee has been charged with “Leaving the Scene of an Accident”.
