September 18, 2012 was a day of smiles at the Office of the City Marshal, DeFuniak Springs Police. It started with a scheduled visit from Mr. and Miss War Whoop who provided drinks, chips and homemade cupcakes.
This group was chosen to represent Walton High School during the 2011-2012 school year. Unfortunately, only two of the War Whoop ambassadors, Devero Bogart and Anthony Burns, along with their guide Teresa Chambless Bogart, were able to come. Megan Matthews, Junior Miss War Whoop had previous obligations.
Chief Mark A. Weeks, MS, City Marshal welcomed the War Whoop youth as he spoke to them about their achievements. Chief Weeks used words of encouragement, and wished them the best.
Members from DeFuniak Springs Police would also like to wish Bogart success as she departs tomorrow October 3rd, 2012 for the National Peanut Festival Pageant located in Dothan, Alabama. Haley Biddle, Miss Walton County, will also be competing in the Miss NPF Pageant 2012.
