[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: SUBJECT ARRESTED FOR CUTTING GIRLFRIEND’S NECK

UPDATE: Joshua Dewayne Williams was arrested by Sheriff's Deputies in Winston County, Alabama on October 6th for a warrant out of DeFuniak Springs. Williams also faces charges of Failure to Appear out of Alabama before he will be extradited back to Walton County to answer to Aggravated Battery charges.


On Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at approximately 1150 hrs., Officers with the DeFuniak Springs Police responded to an injured female at Heritage Apartments. The female victim advised that her boyfriend of 2 years had cut her neck with a pocket knife during an argument. The victim sustained minor injuries to her neck and had multiple bruises on her body from resisting his attack.

The victim advised the suspect to be 30 year old Joshua Dewayne Williams, of Arley, AL. Williams is described as a white male, 6’4” in height, weighing approximately 210 lbs., has brown hair, brown eyes, and a full beard. Williams also has tattoos on both arms. His right arm has his last name of “WILLIAMS” and a cross. He has a tribal tattoo around his left arm with the letters “WFO”. Williams was last seen driving a White Jeep with a Black Hood, bearing an Alabama Tag.

Williams is wanted in connection with this incident and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding Williams’s whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Hutto at 850-892-8513.
